Who We Are
FN Workforce Group is an Aboriginal-led advisory business supporting organisations to strengthen Indigenous participation outcomes through workforce strategy, operational delivery systems, stakeholder alignment, and participation oversight.
We work across infrastructure, mining, rail, construction, utilities, and government environments where participation commitments are under increasing scrutiny and workforce outcomes must be operationally sustainable — not just reported on paper.
Our work focuses on identifying where participation systems fail in practice, strengthening accountability, improving workforce stability, and building structures that support long-term participation outcomes.
FN Workforce Group combines lived experience, operational industry insight, and workforce strategy to help organisations move beyond compliance-driven participation approaches and into measurable operational outcomes.
Our Story
The Industry Problem
Across major projects and infrastructure environments, many organisations are under growing pressure to demonstrate meaningful Indigenous participation outcomes.
Yet despite strong commitments, participation strategies often fail operationally due to weak workforce systems, poor visibility, inconsistent subcontractor accountability, unsupported workers, and disconnected stakeholder engagement.
What We Saw
FN Workforce Group was built from firsthand experience working across operational environments where workforce participation challenges are experienced in real time — not just discussed in policy.
We saw organisations investing heavily into participation commitments and recruitment activity without strengthening the systems required to support long-term workforce stability and sustainable outcomes.
Our Approach
FN Workforce Group works with organisations to identify operational participation risks and strengthen the workforce systems, accountability structures, stakeholder alignment, and oversight frameworks required to support participation outcomes in practice.
Our approach is grounded in operational reality, cultural understanding, workforce insight, and long-term sustainability — not short-term participation reporting.
Founder, FN Workforce Group
Amy Mahoney is a Djabugay and Kuku-Yalanji woman and the founder of FN Workforce Group.
Her experience spans operational industry environments, workforce coordination, continuous improvement, community engagement, and workforce strategy development across sectors including mining, utilities, infrastructure, and construction.
Having worked directly within operational environments, Amy developed a strong understanding of where Indigenous participation strategies often break down in practice — particularly when workforce systems, leadership capability, stakeholder alignment, and operational accountability are not properly embedded.
FN Workforce Group was established to help organisations move beyond surface-level participation approaches and strengthen the operational structures required to support sustainable workforce outcomes over time.
Her work combines lived experience, operational workforce insight, and strategic participation thinking to support organisations navigating increasingly complex participation and procurement environments.
Our Purpose
To strengthen Indigenous participation outcomes by helping organisations build workforce systems, stakeholder relationships, accountability structures, and operational strategies that support long-term, measurable outcomes in practice.
Operational Integrity
We focus on workforce systems and participation strategies that hold up operationally — not just in reporting environments.
Accountability
We believe participation outcomes require visibility, responsibility, and practical delivery systems that support long-term success.
Stakeholder Alignment
We recognise sustainable participation outcomes require stronger alignment between industry, community, Traditional Owners, workforce partners, and operational leadership.
Practical Delivery
Our work is grounded in real operational environments where workforce participation either succeeds or fails in practice.
Long-Term Outcomes
We focus on sustainable workforce participation outcomes rather than short-term activity or surface-level reporting.
Our Values
FN Workforce Group exists to help organisations strengthen Indigenous participation outcomes through workforce integrity, operational delivery systems, stakeholder alignment, and participation accountability.
